UNE Archaeology Society Presents:

Diary of an Archaeologist: Dr. Damien Huffer “The Science of the Dead! Or, everything you wanted to know about skeletons, but were afraid to ask.”

Vampires, zombies, mummies and shambling skeletons might be the stuff of nightmares, but did you know that, in fact, your skeleton is the most information dense “thing” you will leave behind? This talk will give you a whirlwind tour of how bioarchaeology works, using some shocking examples from my and others work, as well as share a bit about how I came to be passionate about archaeology in general. The highs! The lows! The marrow-filled centres!

When: Friday 24th February, 4pm.
Where: EM2 Natural Resources Building, small lecture theatre. (see circle in yellow on map).

All students, staff members, and any member of the public who is interested are most welcome to attend this free public lecture
