AAA 2008 Conference
AAA 2008 Conference
The AAA 2008 Conference Organising Committee is pleased to announce that the 2008 AAA Conference will be held over three days from the 4th to the 6th of December in Noosa at the Australis Noosa Lakes Resort in Noosaville, Queensland, hosted by the School of Social Science, University of Queensland.
Rather than an overarching conference theme we will be inviting proposals for themed sessions on current issues in Australasian archaeology as well as sessions of interest and relevance to Australian Archaeologists more generally.
A welcome evening will be held on Wednesday the 3rd of December, and a post-conference tour is planned for Sunday the 7th of December.
The airconditioned conference venue boasts three beautiful, centrally located pools, and Noosa is home to some of the best beaches in Australia, so bring your togs. Noosa is also known for exellent dining and its natural beauty, including the nearby World Heritage Fraser Island and Great Sandy Region
We will soon be establishing a website for online registration which will also provide more information about the venue, accommodation options, local attractions and transport. A call for session proposals will also follow shortly.
For further enquiries please contact Chris Clarkson, Pat Faulkner or Andrew Fairbairn.
